WISHIN' and HOPIN' and THINKIN' and PRAYIN'

Recently, the TXBWIM board met to dream and make plans for next year as well as the years to come. God is moving in our organization and across Texas and we are privileged to join God in that work and be used in such creative ways. It's grant writing season for nonprofits like us and I ask that you pray for us as we apply for grants. Pray that the process will be smooth. Pray that the value of TXBWIM will be seen by those giving grants. Pray that TXBWIM will continue to have the resources that we need to help women in ministry thrive in the state of Texas. God is good. All the time.

In this blog post, I want to point you to some places that you can find inspiration. (See the links below.) You'll find a reason to celebrate with an article written by board member Rev. Anyra Cano on the recent ordination of Cintia Aguilar. Congratulations to Reverend Aguilar! You can also find a debrief about our conference in Houston written by board member Rev. Jana Atkinson Morga. It was an amazing morning of worship and fellowship. I hope that you will look through the pictures and feel a sense of connection to WIM in perhaps a different part of Texas than where you reside.

The Church Without Walls really hooked us up in Houston and did a live broadcast of the entire Houston event. You can still find it on our FB page. You can watch the whole thing and get to hear and be blessed by the singing and prayers and benediction or you can skip around to the parts you are most interested in. Go to 28:47 for the panel discussion. Go to 1:03:40 to hear Rev. Aisha Davis' sermon titled Cut Out to Carry Out. Go to 1:58:20 to hear Rev. Dr. Jewel London's talk titled Girl! Don't You Look Sharp!

We head to Plainview this month for our In This Together conference at Wayland Baptist University and then to El Paso next month for our luncheon to honor the women who lead in that area of Texas. If you are in these regions of Texas, please come see us. More information on each of these events is on our website under Events. If you are not in these areas, then please pray for us and also help us spread the word. I encourage you to send this blog post to a WIM who needs inspiration and connection. That's a pretty easy way to encourage a fellow minister if I do say so myself.

Well, you guys rock. And I'm so thankful to be on this journey alongside each of you. Reach out if you need anything at all. Until then, I'm praying for you.

"Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
